Memorial services for Robert C. O’Neal, 90, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Patriots Church, 6818 Paluxy Drive, Tyler, with Pastor Albert Hill officiating.
Robert was born in Long Beach, Calif., to Columbus and Mary O’Neal. He completed ninth grade, after which he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps. By the age of 19 he’d met and married his sweetheart, Dena Boertje. They celebrated their 70th anniversary March 15 of last year.
Duty called and he served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.

He is survived by his wife; three children; and grandchildren, David C. Friedrichs, Dena J. Coughlin, Thomas H. O’Neal, Jessica D. O’Neal; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the loving, kind professionals at Heart to Heart Hospice.
