Applications, admissions focus of parent, student seminar

The college application and admissions process will be the focus of an upcoming seminar for East Texas parents and students.
Capstone College and Career Advising is offering The Parent's Survival Guide to College on Saturday.
The event is scheduled to run from 9 to 11 a.m. at 4862 Hightech Drive in Tyler.
Experts will explain how parents and students can start exploring colleges, describe what schools are looking for in an application, and outline how parents and students can prepare for a successful college experience, according to a news release about the event.
