Azleway employee has high praise for East Texans
ROSES: There has been a saying going around the Internet the last few days that “character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you.” I'm so happy to say, on behalf of the foster children at Azleway, that East Texas is full of people with excellent character.

In the midst of all the Christmas bustle, several businesses have gone out of their way to help Azleway provide Christmas presents for the dozens of foster children in Tyler. I'd like to give a special thanks to East Texas Medical Center, Stein Mart Tyler, Brookshire's on Rice Road and Roseland Boulevard, and the Super 1 stores on Troup Highway and Loop 323.

These businesses, along with countless other sponsors and supporters, are a large part of why living in East Texas is so wonderful. Because you all worked together, local children in crisis were able to relax for a moment and know that they were loved. Thank you for treating “those who can do nothing for you” so kindly.

MAGNIFICENT MAIL
RAVES AND ROSES: To the unidentified mail carrier who made my day. On Christmas evening I somehow lost my wallet. All the gift cards and cash I had received as Christmas gifts were inside the wallet. I had retraced my route that evening looking everywhere but did not locate it. To my surprise, I received a USPS envelope in the mail two days later that contained my wallet and a note that just read, “found on my route by a postal carrier.” To my wonderment, not only was my wallet returned but everything still inside.

The wallet itself had been given to me by someone special and I was devastated at the thought of not having this with me anymore, not to mention the gift cards I never would have the chance to use. Thank you doesn't begin to do justice for this act of kindness you displayed. You are truly an angel here on earth that made my day. May God bless you. Thank you for being a shining light in our community and showing East Texas there are still honest and thoughtful people living and working right here in Tyler, Texas. I appreciate you more than you will ever know.
