Mineola League of Arts announces classes
Mineola League of the Arts, 200 W. Blair, Mineola, has announced new classes and workshops.

Jan. 19: Steve Korevec will lead a photography workshop 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fees are $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Participants should bring their own cameras.

Feb. 7: Mary Massie will give a free quilting demonstration 10 a.m. to noon.

Feb. 16 and 17: Bev Madere will lead a spinning workshop 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Participants will explore the tradition of spinning and working with yarn. The fees are $75 for members and $100 for nonmembers.

Feb. 18: Mary Massie will teach a class on quilting 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fees to be announced later.

Feb. 23: Nancy Gibson will lead a class 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on working with stained glass. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

Feb. 25-March 1: Nancy Gibson will lead a workshop 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily during which participants will make a stained-glass decorative item. The cost is $50 for members and $60 for nonmembers.

March 7: Vickie Steed will demonstrate how to make a macramé hanger.

March 25: Joyce Hurlburt will teach a class on paper piecing.
