Bennett to speak to Genealogical Society Monday
Cherokee County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Bonner Street Plaza, 421 S. Bonner, in Jacksonville.
Society President Gordon Bennett plans to talk about his family during The Dust Bowl years of the Great Depression, the club announced. His father, Guy Bennett, was a grain elevator operator in Oklahoma and Texas during this time.
Future program topics and speakers will be announced. Meetings are held the second Monday night except during June, July and August.
