Elections Office moving into new building

The Smith County Elections Office is relocating today to a new building in downtown Tyler.
Its new site is 304 E. Ferguson St., two buildings east of its previous location in the Smith County Courthouse Annex.
The new facility has space that can be used for large gatherings, town hall meetings, jury pools and other needs, the county announced.
The office is open during the transition.
