Ex-TJC professor arrested for theft
A well-known Tyler Junior College professor was arrested for theft the day after Christmas.

Dr. Manouchehr Khosrowshahi, known as “Dr. K” on campus, taught government for over two decades at the college.

Khosrowshahi was charged with theft of property of less than $1,500 with previous convictions, tampering or fabrication of physical evidence and destroying evidence.

He was booked by the Tyler Police Department in jail on Dec. 26 around 3 p.m. and released Dec. 27 around 10:20 a.m.

He is facing a state jail felony, third degree felony and a misdemeanor, and his total bonds for the three charges was $15,000.

Khosrowshahi turned in his letter of retirement to the TJC administration today. The retirement is effective immediately.
