Police make arrest in hotel robbery

Tyler police have charged a woman in the robbery of America’s Best Value Inn, 2828 WNW Loop 323.
The robbery occurred about 9:15 p.m. Friday. Upon arriving on the scene, police searched the area and eventually located a woman on the southwest corner of the complex, Sgt. Matthew Smyser said.
After a brief foot pursuit, police took into custody Jessica Ann Walker, 25. A .25 caliber pistol was found on Ms. Walker and an undetermined amount of cash was recovered, Smyser said.
Ms. Walker was transported to the Smith County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery.
