No Sunday evening services for Holly Brook

Holly Brook Baptist Church will hold regular morning services on Sunday and no services that evening.
The Christmas Eve service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the worship center and will include scripture reading and meditation, singing of carols, lighting candles and a family observance of the Lord’s Supper.
On Dec. 30, all the usual Sunday services will be held — Sunday School, morning worship and evening worship.

DAYSPRING RECORDS CHRISTMAS CD
Dayspring UMC recently wrote, arranged and recorded a CD, “Original Christmas,” and will perform this experiential holiday concert at the church on 310 W. Cumberland Road in Tyler from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Childcare is provided and event participants can print their own free tickets at www.dayspringumc.com/ originalchristmas.
“We will be incorporating live art, dance, the spoken word and visuals on a 50-plus-foot-wide screen, and environmental effects to create an experience above and beyond a typical concert,” said Dayspring UMC Worship and Creative Arts Director Aaron Laird.
“Dayspring is blessed with an incredible team of musicians that lead music in worship every week,” Laird said.

The music for “Original Christmas” has been written, arranged and recorded by Tyler residents: Aaron and Lydia Laird, Justin Dozier, Ronny Singley, Roger Strong, Sean Flowers, Jordan Hollis, Haley Verner, Deb Mortis and Lance Hart.
“The ‘Original Christmas’ project was born out of a desire to more fully understand Christmas — the incredible redeeming grace of our Lord in his ‘original’ plan for us,” Dayspring UMC pastor Jeff Olive said. ‘“Original Christmas’ is an experiential progression through creation, the fall, redemption and finally our eternal hope in Jesus Christ.”
