Tyler police seek shooting suspect
Staff Reports

Tyler police are asking for help finding a man who attempted to shoot his cousin after a verbal dispute.

The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. today at 618 N. Ellis Ave., east of North Palace Avenue and south of West Gentry Parkway.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Kebodrick Terrell Osborne, 17, for the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to a department news release.

Osborne is described as a black male who stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 185 pounds, according to the news release.

He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a red sweater, dark-colored jean shorts and a red “beanie” type hat.

His cousin, Daniel Gasca, 22, told officers that he and Osborne got into a verbal dispute that escalated.

The suspect then pulled a handgun and fired one time at Gasca, but missed, according to the news release. He then left the area on foot heading northbound.

Anyone who knows Osborne’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 or Tyler/Smith County Crime Stoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspect in this case or any felony case.
