UPDATE: Police Say 2 Found Dead Believed To Have Succumbed To Carbon-Monoxide Poisoning
UPDATE:
JUST RELEASED FROM TYLER POLICE:
On December 18, 2012, at about 3:03 PM, the Tyler Police Department was called to 1206 N. Albertson in response to two deceased bodies. The bodies had been located by a family member who had not heard from them for a few days. Tyler Police Officers, Detectives, and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. While processing the scene, it was discovered that the residents had been operating a gasoline powered generator inside of the home. It is believed that the two occupants succumbed to carbon-monoxide poisoning caused by the generator. Autopsies will be completed to help determine the cause of their death.

The deceased have been identified as Cynthia Pettigrew, DOB 8-7-62, and Johnathan Lydia, DOB 12-18-63.

The Tyler Police Department would like to remind everyone about the dangers of Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide gas is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas. It is also poisonous and can lead to death. Devices that emit Carbon Monoxide should not be used in homes. It is also recommended that all homes have Carbon Monoxide detectors installed.


UPDATE: TUESDAY, 3:55 P.M.
Tyler Police have identified one of the victims found at 1206 North Albertson Avenue in north Tyler as Cynthia Pettigrew, 50, of Tyler.

An unidentified family member said she found her aunt lying in front of the bathroom. The male, still unidentified, was lying on top of Ms. Pettigrew.

The family member did not know the identity of the deceased male.


UPDATE: TUESDAY, 3:37P.M.
Tyler Police were dispatched to 1206 North Albertson Avenue at 3:03 p.m. at the request of family members of the residence, according to Don Martin Tyler Police Public Information Director.

Inside the home two bodies were found, a male and female.

the deaths seem suspicious, but it's very early in the investigation to draw and conclusions, Martin said.

Tyler police are responding to a report of two bodies found at a location in the northern section of town.

Don Martin, the department's public information officer, confirmed that two bodies had been found in the 1200 block of North Albertson Avenue north of Gentry Parkway.

Tyler Paper has reporters en route and will provide additional details as they become available.
