Motorcycle wreck leaves man in critical condition

A man is in critical condition after a motorcycle wreck Sunday afternoon.
The wreck occurred about 3 p.m. on Farm-to-Market Road 850, about half a mile west of County Road 21.
Trooper Richard Hoover, with the Texas Department of Public Safety, said John Bayless was driving west on the FM 850 at an unsafe speed. He said Bayless went into a ditch on the right side of the road, hit a culvert underneath a driveway and flipped his motorcycle.
Hover said Bayless was not wearing a helmet and landed face down. He said Bayless was responsive to emergency crews.
He was taken to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, where he is listed in critical condition.
