The Tyler Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a robbery suspect.

Officers responded to a call that the cash register was stolen out of the Just a $1.00 store, 2231 W. Gentry, around 4:15 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the department.
The store clerk told officers a black male came into the store and walked around the aisles for several minutes near the check-out area.
When the clerk opened the cash register to complete the purchase for another customer, the suspect allegedly entered the employee area, picked up the register and ran out the door with it, according to the release.
He then got into a late 1970s or early 1980s two-tone tan and brown short bed Chevy pickup truck that was parked in the area, according to the release.
