Funeral services for Peggy J. Ham, our beloved Nana, 82, of Tyler will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Skorheim officiating with Tyler Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ham was born on Dec. 30, 1929, to Phillip Henry and Bell Amos Lack McRee in Philadelphia, Miss., and passed away Dec. 10, 2012, in Tyler. She was a graduate of Bay Springs High School and attended Tyler Commercial College.
She was a homemaker and attended Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church. She married on Oct. 22, 1949, in Canton.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Douglas S. Ham Sr.; children, Barbara Chambers of Tyler, Beverly Newman and husband Mike of Tyler, D. Scott Ham Jr. of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Vaughn Newman of Durham, N.C., Melissa Barters of Paris, Dawn Morales of Brownsville, Shawn Scott of Round Rock, Wendy Elza of Lindale, Heather Allen, Cindy Davis, Kaitlin Ham; and loving family friend, Rhonda Ham, all of Tyler.
Mrs. Ham was preceded in death by parents; brothers and sisters, Ross, Freddie Bell, Doris, Mary Frances, Graham, Kenneth, Owen L. and John C. “Jack.”
Visitation will be prior to service.
