The motorcyclist involved in an accident on South Broadway Avenue on Thursday died from injuries sustained in the accident.
Don Martin, Tyler police spokesman, said Dillon Shelton, 20, of Tyler, died Saturday.
Shelton was heading north on Broadway on a 2006 Suzuki minutes before noon Thursday, when a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 63-year-old Pam Davis, who was traveling south, made a U-turn at Heritage Drive.
Martin said Shelton tried to avoid the accident to no avail.
“The rider of the motorcycle tried to lay the bike down, but struck the Tahoe sending the rider airborne,” he said.
