UPDATE: Wall falls on firefighter in northern Smith County blaze
Fire destroyed a double wide mobile home at 700 Donaldson Lane about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.
No one was home at the time of the blaze. One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene when a wall collapsed on him, Smith County Assistant Fire Marshal Oren Hale said.
It took about two hours to get the fire under control, Hale said.
Firefighters from Red Springs, Dixie and Lindale fire departments responded to the blaze in seven trucks. An investigation of the cause of the fire will begin Wednesday, Hale said.
