Christmas park sets aside day for foster kids
Staff Reporrts

Tyler Lights Christmas park will close to its normal drive-thru visitors and open to walkers on Thursday to help children in foster care have a merry Christmas.

The park, at 12855 County Road 192 or Old Noonday Road, will have a special walk-through entrance adjacent to the park at the soccer field’s parking lot, according to a news release.

The course is designed to allow children of all ages to walk through and enjoy beautiful light displays of favorite Christmas characters and scenes, the release states.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Admission will be $1 plus an unwrapped gift with an average cost of $10.

The gifts will be donated to the Smith County foster child network to bring smiles to children’s faces on Christmas morning.
