Genealogical Society to present research program

The Cherokee County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday at Bonner Street Plaza, 421 S. Bonner Ave., in Jacksonville.
The Cherokee County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday at Bonner Street Plaza, 421 S. Bonner Ave., in Jacksonville.
The program will be presented by Kyle Ainsworth, special collections librarian, at the East Texas Research Center. It is on the second floor of Steen Library at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, said Vivian Cates, program chairman.
Mr. Ainsworth’s topic will be “Some Tips for Doing Oral Interviews in Family History Research,” the announcement said.
A business meeting and Mr. Ainsworth’s presentation will be followed by the group’s Christmas party.
