A Tyler bankruptcy judge this morning rescheduled the date for Lon Morris College to auction off its assets and facilities.

The decision came during the institution's latest bankruptcy hearing today.

Lon Morris had proposed the date of December 13, but the judge this morning scheduled the auction for January 14.

The school, which filed bankruptcy in July, entails about 112 acres of academic halls, student housing and athletic facilities, according to an auction brochure. It has about 50,000 square feet of academic lecture halls, about 95,000 square feet in student dormitories, an athletic training complex, a gymnasium and multiple playing fields.

Many more details to come shortly here on TylerPaper.com.
