Fresh Ideas: Fig & Brie Wontons
Ingredients
24 - 2 x 2 wonton wrappers
6 ounces of brie, cut into 24 pieces
4 ounces fig paste, cut into 24 small pieces
honey & chopped pecans for garnish
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a wonton wrapper on a work surface. Brush the edges with water. Place a piece of brie, topped with a piece of fig paste in the middle of the wonton. Garnish with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of chopped pecans. Fold the corners of the wonton up to the middle and press the edges closed. Carefully press down to release any air that is inside the wonton and be sure all of the edges are sealed. Place on a greased baking sheet and repeat with remaining wontons. When all of the wontons are assembled spray them with non-stick cooking spray to ensure browning. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the wrappers begin to brown. Let cool before serving.
