Creative Careers show, sale set for Dec. 19
The East Texas Center for Independent Living is hosting Creative Careers Artisans and Craftsman Show & Sale on Dec. 19.
The event is an opportunity for artists and craftsman with disabilities to share their creative passion while exploring the potential for related income possibilities, representatives said in a statement.
Artists and craftsman interested in participating in the event need register by Friday by contacting Lynn Solis at 903-944-9087 or Patricia Perkins, at East Texas Center for Independent Living, at 4713 Troup Highway or 903-581-7542. Registration is $20.
Activities represented may include gardening, weaving, painting, jewelry making, music, pottery, woodworking and performing arts. The public is invited to attend for holiday shopping and to learn about VSA Arts of Texas -- Vision, Strength, Access Arts for All -- which is an affiliate of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
