Tyler firefighters to collect toys for holiday drive
Tyler firefighters are collecting toys this holiday season so needy boys and girls can find something special under their tree this year.

Collection efforts commemorate a more than 20-year tradition for the department, which supports The Salvation Army's toy drive, officials said.

“Tyler is such a caring community, with so many people willing to help the less fortunate,” Tyler Fire Chief Tim Johnson said. “We collect these toys at all the fire stations to provide citizens a convenient, easy way to drop off their donations throughout the City.”

People who want to help with the efforts can drop off a new, unwrapped toy by any Tyler Fire Station now through Dec. 14.

For more information, call The Tyler Fire Administration Office at 903-535-0005 or Fire Marshal Paul Findley at 903-535-0007.
