Smith County Thanksgiving Closures
Smith County offices will close Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Also, the Smith County District and County Clerk's Offices will close at 2 p.m. today.
All federal and Smith County courts will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Tyler city administrative offices plan to close Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving and resume normal schedules starting Monday.
Tyler Solid Waste customers who normally have Thursday pickups will have their garbage collected today; no changes are planned for customers with Monday, Tuesday and Friday collection days.
Recycling customers are asked to leave their collections out until they are picked up, which may be as late as Friday.
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport is set to close the building at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, due to a reduction in scheduled flights, and resume normal operations on Friday.

The Tyler Public Library, Tyler Transit and Gallery Main Street plan to reopen Saturday.
The Goodman-LeGrand Museum, normally closed on Mondays, opens Tuesday.

The University of Texas at Tyler offices are open today, but there are no classes. The university is closed Thursday and Friday.
Tyler Junior College is closed today through Friday.
Texas College residence halls close at 5 p.m. today for the holiday. The campus will be closed with no classes Thursday and Friday. Residence halls reopen for students at 8 a.m. Sunday and classes resume Monday.
