Ethel Mildred Kidder
Ethel Mildred Kidder, 90, of Tyler went to meet the Lord on Nov. 15, 2012, in Tyler. She was born in Dallas on Jan. 22, 1922, to Wright and Elizabeth Scott.
She lived more than 50 years in Austin where she retired at 71 from NHIC, a division of EDS. She lived a life of joy and service to others with her husband, an ordained minister. They served several churches in Louisiana and Arkan-sas as well as missions and nursing homes around Austin. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir for a short time. Psalm 103 was her favorite which begins: “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 60 years, Beauford Gordon Kidder.

She is survived by her daughter, Ethel Allison and husband David; sister, Ruby Lee Westbrook of Georgetown; grandsons, Don Bodenhamer and wife Pam of Madisonville, Jim Bodenhamer and wife Molly; great-grandchildren, Brittany Bernhard and husband Geoff, Lindsay Bernhard and husband Spencer, Dawson Bodenhamer and Sunny Bodenhamer of Tyler, and Daniel Bodenhamer of Madisonville; great-great-grandchildren, Henry Bernhard and Svenjon Bernhard; nephew, Calvin Terry Westbrook and wife Mireya of Fort Worth; and niece, Patricia Gossett and husband Warren of Round Rock.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Sundance of Oak Hill’s staff and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care and prayers.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock, Austin, officiated by grandsons Jim and Don Bodenhamer.
