Secession, November 16
Ron Paul was right. Had Mitt Romney won the election, all he could have done — through tax reform, eliminating regulations, cutting “entitlements,” deficit reduction, etc. — is slow America's demise.
America's divide is between statists — who believe in the use of tyranny to enforce their will — and those who believe in liberty.
The big government statist view was championed by Alexander Hamilton. His supporters were outnumbered by the limited government Jeffersonians. The statists made significant progress when the tyrant Abe Lincoln was elected.
Liberal-progressive-socialist-statists Theodore Roosevelt, Wilson, FDR, LBJ, and Obama have greatly expanded the size and power of the central government and reduced individual liberty, property rights and economic freedoms.
Thomas Paine said, “Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.”
Now secession may be our best hope to revive a nation where such abstracts as “social justice” and “shared prosperity” (euphemisms for government stealing from the “haves,” in order to redistribute to cronies or to buy the votes of the “have-nots”) are frowned upon by all and where the concept of liberty is the guiding principle of our new nation.
