Tyler man jailed on aggravated assault charge

A Tyler man remained in jail after an alleged aggravated assault Wednesday evening.
The Tyler Police Department responded to the 600 block of Woodland Hills around 8:30 p.m.
Witnesses told officers Jeffrey Logan, 37, of Tyler used a knife to commit the assault and was still inside the home. According to jail records, Logan lived in the home.
According to police, Logan initially ignored police calling him out of the home using a loud speaker, but eventually followed officers’ commands and was taken into custody.
Logan was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, and his bond was set at $50,000.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
