Lopez pleads guilty of capital murder; gets life without possibility of parole

A Tyler man plead guilty to capital murder charges in connection with the death of girlfriend's 18-month-old son in 2010.
Simon Lopez made the guilty plea in the Smith County 7th District Court of Judge Kerry Russell this afternoon in the death of Jeremy Silva, 18 months old.
He will receive life in prison without the possibility of parole.
