Texas Fishing Report
NORTHEAST
ATHENS: Water clear, 64-68 degrees; 3.50’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged soft plastics and spinnerbaits around shallow cover. Some action reported on Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut shad.
BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 65-69 degrees; 5.32’ low. Black bass are good on white spinnerbaits and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are fair on jigs over brush piles. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines with cut shad.
CADDO: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 1.05’ low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged soft plastics in green pumpkin. White and yellow bass are good on slabs. Catfish are good on cut shad. Striped bass and hybrid striper are good on white or shad pattern Sassy Shad in the deeper water when suspending during the day - drifting live bait is also producing. Catfish are good on cut bait and trotlines.
