County commissioners to meet Thursday to canvass election results

The Smith County Commissioners Court will meet Thursday morning to canvass the election results.
The court generally meets Tuesdays, but in observance of Veterans Day moved this week's meeting to 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Smith County Commissioners Courtroom on the first floor of the courthouse.
In addition to canvassing election results, commissioners will discuss advertising for roadwork projects and purchasing equipment for the road and bridge department.
