CBS19 Forecast

Posted 9:27 pm  Saturday, November 10, 2012

Mild days ahead
Our brief period of above mormal temperatures will continue through the day on Saturday and into Sunday. Along with the warm temperatures will come windy conditions, which will help to steadily increase the moisture content across most of Texas — especially East Texas. This moisture will be tapped by a strong upper level system — helping to propel a stout cold front which push through the are on Sunday.

The entire area is with a "Slight Risk" area for Severe Weather on Sunday afternoon and night. The main concern with storms will be strong straight line winds. However, some Hail will also be possible, as well as a low chance for a Tornado. Behind the front, much cooler air will rush into the area late Sunday night/Monday Morning, with temps not expected to get above the Lower 60's on Monday afternoon. Frost will be quite possible on both Tuesday and Wednesday Morning.
