A man accused of several recent aggravated robberies was arraigned late Friday morning in Jacksonville.
Bonds for 26-year-old Kendall Deshun Lucas were set at $200,000 each on three aggravated robbery charges, $150,000 each on three unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon charges and $1,500 on a charge of hindering a secured creditor, according to a statement from the Jacksonville Police Department.
Detective Greg Compton said the hindering a secured creditor charge is unrelated to the armed robberies.
In its statement, the Jacksonville Police Department thanked the public for its assistance in the investigation.
The numerous tips received were instrumental in positively linking Lucas to these robberies and ultimately to his capture, according to the statement from police.
His capture and arraignment came after various efforts to locate Lucas, who allegedly was involved in an Oct. 14 robbery at CJ’s Quick Stop, 613A E. Rusk St.; an Oct. 22 robbery at J & J Food Mart, 1512 S. Jackson St. and an Oct. 23 robbery at J & J Food Mart.
Since the robberies, authorities developed information positively linking the 26-year-old to the crimes, Detective Greg Compton said Wednesday.
He said Jacksonville police, with assistance from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Tyler FBI office, were sent to an address in eastern Jacksonville about 6 p.m. Tuesday to capture Lucas.
Lucas apparently found out authorities were approaching and fled on foot, officials said.
Compton has said Lucas was chased into a wooded area across Loop 456, and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter was called to check the area from overhead. But after about an hour, the helicopter was unsuccessful in locating him.
In the meantime, Compton has said tracking dogs were brought in and were able to set up a trail from the last point Lucas was seen in the wood line.

However, the dogs ultimately lost his scent about 10 p.m., so the search was called off, he said Wednesday.
Officers eventually located Lucas in an apartment complex in southeastern Jacksonville shortly after midnight Thursday, Compton said in a news release.
He said Jacksonville police, Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies and agents from the Tyler FBI Office surrounded the location, and officers then entered the apartment and found Lucas inside.
Lucas, a convicted felon who was on parole for burglary, was taken into custody without incident.
