Free legal clinic for vets slated Nov. 17
Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who need legal help in areas such as divorce or child custody, child support, bankruptcy, wills and estate planning, la-ndlord/tenant problems, pr-obate and guardianship or foreclosure can receive it for free from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 17 at the Ornelas Activity Center, 3500 Old Omen Road.
The clinic is sponsored by the Smith County Bar Association, and the following attorneys will be participating: Linda Hoak (veteran) and Rachael Griffith from the Hoak Law Firm; Alan R. Jackson (veteran) from the U.S. Attorney's Office; Wes Volberding (veteran); Reeve Jackson from the Jackson Law Firm; James Carter from the Law Office of James Andrew Carter; LaVern Campbell (veteran) Office of the Attorney General; Brian Campbell.
