Parks & Rec to hold annual Bambi run
There's still time to join in the fun Saturday as Tyler Parks and Recreation Department kicks off its sixth annual Bambi 5K Fun Run and Walk.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m. at Faulkner Park, 410 W. Cumberland Road.
The event, which encourages participants to "run as if your life depended on it," is open to people ages 6 and up.
The entry fee is $15 per person and helps support special events and programming offered by Parks and Recreation.
The first 200 registrants receive a T-shirt and medals are to be awarded to the top men, women and youth finishers.
Sponsors include Austin Bank and Chick-fil-A.
