Speaker on topic: flora and fauna of Caddo lake

Carl Turner of Marshall will speak on the history, flora and fauna of Caddo Lake at a meeting of Tyler Audubon Society.
The meeting is open to all and set for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 New Copeland Road.
Turner, a retired pediatrician, also has degrees in biology and ecology and has studied the lake for decades, according to information from Joseph Marsey, society representative.
Birding field trips planned for the fall will also be discussed, according to the announcement.
