Dinner Tonight Cooking School set for November 9
The Dinner Tonight Healthy Cooking School! presented by Texas AgriLife Extension Service is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the John D. Windham Civic Center in Center.
The exhibits and vendors open at noon, the announcement said.
The recipes to be presented are cost effective, easy to prepare and fit into a healthy meal plan.
Brad Maule, known for his character of Dr. Tony Jones on “General Hospital,” will be the guest emcee, the announcemnt said.
The cooking school will include demonstrations of quick and easy-to-make holiday recipes from the 52 page “Dinner Tonight” cookbook provided by Dairy MAX.
Chef Todd Barrios with the Hospitality Department at Stephen F. Austin State University and extension agents will conduct the food demonstration from the stage, the announcement said.
Door prizes will be given throughout the afternoon.
Each participant will be provided with a copy of the Dinner Tonight cookbook in the registration bags from sponsors, the announcement said.

The school targets busy people who still want to make time for meal preparation and feel good about what they are feeding themselves and their family. The goals are to promote family mealtime, teach families healthy meal planning and food preparation techniques and promote Texas agriculture.
