Jacksonville man jailed on murder charge

A Jacksonville man is in Cherokee County custody on capital murder charges following a Saturday morning shooting.

According to Jacksonville police, the department was called to investigate a shooting at Stacy's Club, 2005 North Jackson St., at 4:10 a.m.
Officers cleared the building and called EMS, but Stacy Dewayne Hunter, 43, of Jacksonville died at the scene.
Witnesses at the scene described the suspect, who turned himself in to authorities at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Jimmy Deshawn Mosley, 24, of Jacksonville has been charged with capital murder and his bond was set at $250,000.
