Pets in the Park set Oct. 27 at Bergfeld
Staff Reports
The Humane Society of East Texas will hold its annual Pets in the Park event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27 in Bergfeld Park.
“Pets in the Park promises to be fun for everyone including the family pets,” Director Gayle Helms said.
The event will include demonstrations by Tyler Obedience Training Club and dozens of other organizations and vendors that cater to pets and pet owners.
Competitions will feature pets showing off their speed and agility and taking part in everything from Halloween costume contests to the search for “Most Beautiful.”
Proceeds support the Humane Society of East Texas, a Tyler-based organization that serves as a selective-admission shelter that works to match available pets with adoptive owners.
