Cold front arrives
A cold front moved across East Texas Sunday preceded by a line of showers and thunderstorms. No severe weather was reported, but wind gusts to near 40 mph were possible in some storms before dawn. Skies cleared behind the front as drier air moved in. Temperatures behind the front are just a few degrees lower with afternoon highs expected to be in the low 80s early this week. Overnight lows will be in the 50s.

A stronger cold front at mid week will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday and Wednesday night. High temperatures Thursday and Friday will be in the low to mid 70s and near 80 degrees over the weekend. Morning lows Friday and Saturday will be in the high 40s to near 50 degrees.
