Trekkers to walk during Rose Festival

The East Texas Trekkers will sponsor a walks in Tyler on Saturday to coincide with the Texas Rose Festival, according to information from Helen Hull, president.
The walks are sanctioned by American Volkssport Association and include routes of nearly four miles or nearly eight miles. Both routes begin at Brady’s Coffee Shop, 309 W. Rusk St., according to the information.
Walkers may start between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. and should be finished by 2:30 a.m. The routes pass through the Tyler Rose Garden, where many Texas Rose Festival events will be taking place.
Walkers do not have to be a member of East Texas Trekkers or American Volkssport Association in order to participate, according to the announcement.
