Domestic violence awareness program set for Tuesday

The East Texas Crisis Center will hold “Building Bridges,” a domestic violence awareness training conference, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tyler.
The conference will address topics such as “What is Abuse?” “The Dynamics of Domestic Violence: Why Doesn’t She Just Leave?” “Immigration Status Being Used as a Tool for Control,” “The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children,” “Secondary Victims” and “Violence in the Workplace.” It will include a special tribute to victims of domestic violence.
