Deaths of mother, daughter ruled homicide in Longview
Staff Reports

The two bodies found inside a Longview duplex Wednesday were a mother and her 11-year-old daughter — victims of a homicide, authorities said.

Police said they have a person of interest in the case but are not naming that person.

Officers were dispatched at 3:01 p.m. to the 100 block of Jester Circle for a welfare check. When police arrived, they located the bodies of 28-year-old Latoya Nicole Reese and her daughter, Mya Rosetta Nichol Sebron, both of Longview, according to a prepared statement from Longview police.

Both victims suffered severe trauma and were pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Arthur Fort, according to the statement. The bodies were sent to a facility in Tyler for autopsy.

Longview police are asking anyone with information about this homicide to contact Detective Terry Davis at 903-237-1157. If the tipster wishes to remain anonymous, they can also contact Gregg County Crimestoppers at 903-236-STOP (7867) or submit a tip online at www.greggcountycrimestop pers.org.
