UPDATE: Longview Police Have Person Of Interest In Double Homicide
UPDATE
The two bodies found inside a Longview duplex Wednesday were a mother and her 11-year-old daughter and were victims of a homicide, authorities said.
Police say they have a person of interest in the case but are not naming that person.
Officers were dispatched at 3:01 p.m. to the 100 Block Jester Circle for a welfare check. When police arrived, they located the bodies of 28-year-old Latoya Nicole Reese and her daughter, 11-year-old Mya Rosetta Nichol Sebron, both of Longview, according to a prepared statement from Longview police.
Both victims suffered severe trauma and were pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Arthur Fort, according to the statement.
The bodies were sent to a facility in Tyler for autopsy.
