Arrest made in Tyler morning shooting

Tyler Police arrested one in connection to a shooting at a home near Rose Stadium.

Officers located a white Crown Victoria witness described fleeing from the scene at Connally and Hurt Streets a short time after the shooting, according to a department press release.
The car's passengers were taken to the Tyler Police Department and questioned about their involvement in the shooting on Turner Street, the release states.
Officers located a .22 caliber handgun in the front yard of the residence that is believed to be the weapon used in the shooting.
After investigating, detectives arrested Bennie Jewels Williams III, 06/28/1992, of Tyler and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony.
