Veterans’ health treatment seminar slated for Nov. 3

A seminar focused on the behavioral and mental health of veterans will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at KE Bushman, 1565 Farm-to-Market Road 2493 East, in Bullard.

Participants will learn to use evidence-based clinical strategies to identify and treat post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. They also will learn to use available resources and referrals that will enhance patient care.
Professional health care providers will relate to current behavioral and mental health research affecting the health and quality of life of veterans, service members, their family and their caregivers.
There will be presentations by men and women who have served in the military.
This program has been recommended for physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists and those with an interest in the military.
