Lee students recognized for PSAT scores

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognized six Robert E. Lee High School seniors based on exceptional performance on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) scores.
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognized six Robert E. Lee High School seniors based on exceptional performance on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) scores.
Robert Walker, Brian Vincent, Hannah Horick, Katie Waller and Francis Lewis were among about 34,000 students across the nation to be recognized as commended students by the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Commended students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program competition, according to a Tyler ISD news release.
Allison Sanders earned high honors in the 2012-13 National Hispanic Recognition Program because of her outstanding score on the PSAT.

This program identifies academically outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students and recognizes the top 5,000 students based on their PSAT scores, according to the news release.
“These young men and women represent some of the most academically talented students in our country,” Lee High School lead counselor Celia Tucker said. “I am so proud of their accomplishments.”
