The United Way of Smith County’s Nonprofit Development Center will present its first “Bright Ideas for Success” Conference on Nov. 9 at the Lighthouse Center on the campus of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.
The conference is all about helping nonprofits.
Sessions are geared to guiding directors, board members and volunteers of nonprofit organizations through the often challenging tasks of fundraising, leadership development, volunteer management, use of social media, marketing and public relations.
Participants should walk away with knowledge of the best practices available, emerging trends, new strategies for becoming a more effective organization and, perhaps more importantly, renewed enthusiasm.
Paul Vitale, a best-selling author and motivational speaker with a background in the hospitality and tourism industry, will be the keynote speaker.
His books include “Sell with Confidence” and “Pass it On.”
“During his high-energy presentation, Vitale will present ideas to captivate and inspire participants to thrive and excel in this constantly changing world,” says information promoting the conference.
