Gospel singer coming to Emmanuel Baptist Church

LaVerne and Glenda Grant Productions will have a concert featuring Gospel singer Ivan Parker at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 501 E. U.S. Highway 80 in White Oak. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, children age 12 and under get in free. Tickets can be purchased at Lifeway Christian in Longview, Mardel’s in Longview, The Scroll Christian Bookstore in Tyler, City Drug in Jefferson and online at www.laverneglendagrant. com. Fairview Baptist Church will recognize its pastor, the Rev. Zeb Cantley, and his wife, for their seventh anniversary at the church at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, on Texas Highway 110 North in Lindale. The Rev. Carl George of Macedonia Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.
PETS & ANIMALS
A Pets and Animals Blessing will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 3232 Jan Ave. in Tyler. The public is invited to bring their animals and have them blessed. Coffee and cookies with be served afterward.
