3 arrested in ‘First Monday’ drug bust
A tip that meth was being sold at Canton’s First Monday Trades Days has resulted in multiple arrests.

Canton Police Detective James Bradshaw said the investigation began Monday after his agency received the information.

Bradshaw said during an undercover sting, Thomas Earl Loving, 39, of the Lindale area, was arrested for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, more than 4 grams but under 200 grams.

Loving has a previous conviction for the same charge and is being held on a $75,000 bond.

Tory Glenn Taylor, 61, is being held on a $50,000 bond for possession of a controlled substance and Jason Warren Hill, 38, was charged with possession of controlled substance. Hill posted a $50,000 bond and was released from jail.

Bradshaw said the case has been investigated by Canton police, Van Zandt County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Smith County Sheriff Office.
