UPDATE: Tyler Police Identify Suspects In Alleged Walmart Theft
From Staff Reports

Tyler police recovered four firearms stolen from a Wal-Mart early Monday morning and secured warrants for two suspects in connection with the theft.

Investigators received tips about the possible identities of the suspects in the case, and that information led officers to a location where the weapons were dropped off, according to a police department news release.

Late Tuesday, Tyler police issued another release, stating that they are holding warrants for Jamie Lee Miller, a 33-year-old white female, and Jeremy Lee Wilson, a 34-year-old white male for theft of a firearm.

The weapons were stolen from the Wal-Mart at 3820 Texas Highway 64 West about 1:30 a.m. Monday, according to police.

Surveillance video shows a white male breaking into the gun case in the sporting goods section of the store and removing four rifles. A white female acted as a lookout, according to the news release.

The man put the rifles, a gun bag and a hunting jacket in a shopping cart and left the store without paying for the items, according to the news release.

The man and woman left the scene in a silver Dodge or Chrysler minivan with only one hubcap on the left rear wheel, according to the release.

The Tyler police are asking for help in locating the suspects.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF, 903-597-2833. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
