Tyler firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1500 block of Bowie Drive late Tuesday.

Firefighters said three rooms of the home suffered heavy fire damage and were described as a total loss.

Crews were still working the scene around 10 p.m. Tuesday, but flames were not visible at that time.

Tyler Fire Department District Chief Terry Rozell said the house was searched multiple times and no one was found inside.

Rozell said that crews vented out the attic, made a quick attack and within 10 minutes had the fire under control.
